Spectrum LIMS
Spectrum LIMS is an advanced Laboratory Information Management System for your veterinary practice, bringing you improved efficiency, automation and diagnostic capabilities. With diagnostic tests becoming an ever-increasing sector of the veterinary industry, Spectrum LIMS ensures laboratory activities are managed correctly and profitably with clinicians receiving results rapidly and in an accessible format.
Spectrum LIMS has been developed as an open platform to allow any in house analysers to connect and automatically file results to the patient record. Analysers with bidirectional capability can receive test requests, providing efficiency gains to the busy veterinary lab.
Tests can be scheduled directly from the patient record. Interactive whiteboards can then be used to manage worklists and update task status’. Users can enter any information relevant to the test, and check the status and staff notes at any time from any terminal throughout the practice.
Whiteboards give an instant display of all lab activity and can be customised to suit your business requirements.
External reference laboratory lists are pre-loaded into the system, allowing you to schedule tests and print pre-filled request forms, sample labels and cover sheets. Printed 2-D barcodes contain all essential test information and options for restricting client data ensures GDPR compliance.
Results filed to the patient record can be compared graphically by selecting the relevant analytes. Reports can be generated and emailed or printed directly from the system.
Interactive whiteboards: view, assign and manage laboratory tasks from anywhere in the practice, with customised whiteboards.
Resource management: correctly schedule tasks to the right equipment, laboratory or personnel with pre-filling of request forms and simple drag and drop functionality.
Practice-wide scheduling: task libraries hold all laboratory tests (internal and external) and can be scheduled from any location, for increasing your diagnostic capabilities and improving efficiency.
Equipment Integration: results from any equipment makes/models are automatically linked and filed to patient records, with an optional holding area for cross-checking.
Progress information: progress tracking provided by colour-coded live status updates, with automatic callback messages sent to clinicians upon completion.
Work request ID: unique identifiers link results to the correct test and the patient record. These help practices comply with new GDPR law when scheduling with external labs.
